A Dream Step Forward: I’ve Been Chosen as Guitar Tech for a Major Academy Trust

This week marks a turning point—not just in my work, but in my confidence, my craft, and what I believe I can build.

After months of steady growth, school setups, repairs, quotes, and late-night tinkering, I’ve been offered and accepted an official contract with one of the big academy trusts to become their dedicated guitar technician.

It still hasn’t fully sunk in.

What excites me most isn’t just the scale of the contract—it’s knowing that the guitars I repair, clean, restore, and set up are going to end up in the hands of young players discovering music for the first time. If an instrument feels smooth, comfortable, and inspiring, that can genuinely shape a kid’s entire musical journey.

My role will include:

• Full guitar setups across multiple schools

• Restoring heavily used instruments

• Replacing worn potentiometers & hardware

• Cleaning and reviving basses & electrics

• Ensuring a consistent, reliable standard across the trust

It’s the kind of work I’ve always wanted to do—creative, technical, hands-on, AND meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, recommended me, believed in my work, and kept me going on the tough days. This contract feels like proof that sticking with your craft through the highs and lows is worth it.

Here’s to new chapters, new challenges, and a lot of guitars that are about to get a whole new life.
